Beautiful Bespoke Iroko Gates

Iroko is a strong, very durable Hardwood of attractive appearance and small movement with a medium oily texture, The wood colour is initially yellowish-brown, darkening to a much richer, golden brown over time. Iroko gates are particularly heavy so it is great for garden gates also for driveway or estate gates but when using Iroko gates, strong pillars, Granite or wooden posts must be used.

We can laminate the timber if requested to enhance the overall appearance to produce a truly impressive long lasting gate. Iroko would benefit from a regular protective coating of Sikken wood stain

Beautiful Bespoke Oak Gates

Oak Gates have great strength and hardness very attractive grain markings so it is great for garden gates also driveway or estate gates but when using Oak Gates, strong pillars, Granite or wooden posts must be used. Care must be taken when using with untreated iron and steel as it will leave blue markings which will detract from the beauty of the wood, the markings will not sand out so be careful! Stainless Steel is the best option to choose.

Extremely attractive in its natural state, and looks great with a clear treatment OSMO oil, a natural finish although it can be stained and painted.
